I hope nothing's sweeter than summertime.

Hey everyone!

So this long weekend (it's Thanksgiving in Canada!) Melina and I went yet again to visit the old port! It was slightly cooler than we expected so we froze our butts off!

Haul Time!

Hello everyone!

So this weekend I visited the new Bath and Body Works that just opened in my hometown, and I can honestly say, it was AMAZING.

I had originally wanted to buy the country apple scent, but they didn't have it in stock yet, so I wandered around the store looking for something else that suited me.... I found more than a number of awesome things!
I was going to buy the white citrus scent because it suited my body so much, but then I took one sniff of the "Forever Sunshine" line, and I was in love. It smells like my summer in Nova Scotia and I could not resist.

This is what the company quotes it's scent to be

"Master perfumers have blended golden apricot, pink peonies, vanilla musk and a hint of praline to create this fresh fragrance that captures the romance of warm days that linger into cool autumn. Wear it whenever you crave the essence of summer."

It smells exactly like summer, it's amazing. Next time I plan on buying the white citrus body spray (since perfume lasts all day, while body spray doesn't) and wear it on low key days. However, I did buy a travel sized version of the white citrus in a cream format, a cherry blossom body wash and a "sea island cotton" body spray. AMAZING. I would LOVE the perfume format of that as well, it smells like the ocean and fields of cotton. I also love the bottle design of the sea island cotton perfume as well! Then I picked up a body scrub called "need a margarita". and I swear it smells exactly like the real thing (a review on that later!) as well as a 60 second manicure scrub!

I also made my way over to old navy to get some basic tank tops, but I also scored a boyfriend blazer and a cute skirt! I finally ended my day by FINALLY buying a pair of booties! Yay me! :D

Gravity, stay the hell away from me.

One of my absolute favorite styles this fall is the paper-bag look! I see this look all around school, especially in the military color scheme and I cannot get enough of it! In my opinion it gives a great mix of feminine and masculine contrast due to the fact that the pant itself is very structured, but the waistline is very soft. Apparently Zara is the go to place for this style (so I've been told). Let me know if you've seen this style other stores! I definitely want to get my hands on a pair!

All the crimson linings

Three cheers for cold weather! Anyone who knows me, knows about my obssesion with cold weather so you can imagine how happy I am to pull out my warmer clothing and trudge outside with my new combat boots. I wore something similar to this outfit to the Vampire Weekend concert this week. I replaced the jean shirt for a red plaid one (any shirt will do!). Try this outfit out, it's super cute and comfy! :)

It's to dying in another's arms and why I had to try it.

Today we spent probably one of the last few days together before school starts to take over our lives. It was such a hot and sunny day but we made the most of it! We also had a picnic in the park :D

We were so excited to dress up for the newest fall trends, but sadly the weather ruined our best laid plans! More on our outfit details a little later though!

Enjoy!

Everyday we give love, we give life

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey!
So first of all, let me apologize for being away for so so long. I worked, then went on vacation, then came back for an insane week of work and during all of that my computer was broken and only got repaired like yesterday. So I'm back and yay for that! I should be back regularly now (let's hope). Anyways so here's a photo of me in San Francisco. Please note my totally awesome military inspired boots. I got them on vacation in San Fran at Forever 21.

Looking like another Bob Marley day.

Just thought I should post some pictures of one of my very last days before school starts :)

Just keep me where the light is.

Since back to school is literally just around the corner, it's time to get your closet ready! The most important thing about going back to school is to stock up on your basics! Colored V-necks, tee shirts and tank tops are a must. Leggings, a pair of jeans, a basic skirt and sweats are also a must. The great thing about basics is that you have one staple piece that you can use to play around with something more trendy!

This is an outfit I put together for a day when the weather starts to change into fall!

You're so ambitious for a juvenile.

I thought this was a great thrown together but chic and cute look :)
I made this next set to be comfortable on those days when you have classes that seem to go on forever, but at least you still look really great! :)

The second one is definitely more fall inspired and would look great on a crisp fall day on campus :)

Night everyone :)

Every word you say, say something sweet; cause all I taste is blood between my teeth.

Spent some time in Quebec City this month!

One trend that I absolutely love this year is beachy waves and side braids. I made two braids; one going back that I created from the hair on my bangs, and the other with some side hair and I pulled it back. Make sure you get those little baby hairs in as well! As for the beachy waves, you can achieve them by braiding your hair when its wet, or wrapping it in a bun, or better yet there are tons of products out there to create that wave! The best kind is simply made with water and salt, but I find it can make your hair crunchy and such!

Cracking voices and new bodies.

Spent the day with my best friend :)

Just wanted to show that you can wear something like a mini skirt with a loose baggy shirt and pair it with converse to make it casual!

I'm not afraid, i'm not afraid ... to put eyeliner ;)

Okay so before I begin, let me put out a little disclaimer here. I am NOT by any means trying to endorse MAC cosmetics or any other company I choose to review. I am simply reviewing a product I adore and think would make your lives happier ones :)

Now that that's out of the way, i'll gladly tell you allllllllll about MAC's fluidline in blacktrack. It is THE awesomest shizz you will ever come across. For all of you who have never heard of this product... it's basically a gel eyeliner that comes in an assortment of colours. It glides on perfectly and lasts all..day..long. I'm not even kidding! I'll put in on at 7:15 a.m. in the morning, go to school, come back, do some excersize, take a shower, yada yada and finally around 8 or 9 p.m. i'll go check in the mirror and what's left? My winged eyeliner with only maybe a sliiiiight smudge at the end. It's absolute heaven in a wittle tub. Oh and I forgot to add that it lasts forever, no joke AND it only costed me about maybe 20 something canadian. Again, heaven I tell you. So, basically if your that girl or guy who's ever complained about how your eyeliner has smudged or completely melted off... then I suggest you run out your door and purchase some fluidline. Take my
word for it :)

When will you realize, Vienna waits for you?

Hi everyone!
So in this post, I thought we should talk about what to wear when traveling! For the past few months, I've been traveling by plane mostly, but by car as well. My biggest dilemma is what to wear when I'm going on trips! For now, let's just concentrate on what to wear when traveling by plane.

If you're going on a short, one hour to about a two hour plane ride, then you can opt for something casual, but slightly more fashionable since you don't need to be too comfortable for such a short journey!

I think this set that I've created really lets you look great on a plane without looking too over the top (and trust me, I've seen it far too many times). Besides needing to maybe freshen up a bit after the flight, you could totally go out to dinner afterward as well!

If you're going for a longer plane ride, which requires you to sit for long periods of time, then you should really opt for something trendy, but also comfy casual!

In this set, I decided to incorporate the crop top trend that I've spoken about recently, but in a comfy sweatshirt material! Paired with a plain white tank top, and some black leggings (for comfort, but make sure the tank top covers your backside if you know what i mean...) this out fit it definitely great for sitting on a long flight! I also paired it with some really cute blush colored ballet flats because not only is the colour really in style at the moment, but also looks really cute and girly to an otherwise basic coloured outfit. I chose to add the small charm bracelet to add a bit of pink to the top portion. Finally, my favorite piece of this whole outfit is the bag! It's such a beautiful tan colour and is the perfect size for a flight, allowing you to stash away whatever you need for a long journey!

Bon Voyage!

The fight for you is all I've ever known

One of this summer's latest trends has been the crop top. At first, I was all against it; I thought nothing good could come from the navel baring tiny tops. Boy, have I reconsidered that statement! I recently tried one on at H&M yesterday (which I really liked, but didn`t get because of the pattern). You can also get slightly more expensive ones in every colour at american apparel, but I personally really liked the ones at H&M. I must warn though, you just can`t wear them with anything. I personally like seeing them worn with swimsuits, as cover ups of course. I think that if you're really skinny and on the beach, then you can get away with wearing them with short shorts...only if you`re on the beach! Outside on the street I think they`re best paired with high waisted shorts... which in that event, even plus sized girls, like me, can get away with wearing them! I think they're a neat new summer trend!

Loving Audrina's look, but wish her top wasn't see through!

I can finally see that you're right beside me

Okay, so this is a very controversial issue ... to wear docs or not to wear docs. I for one am absolutely freaking in love with them, Sarah on the other hand despises them. I just think that there way too awesome for their own good. Above are a pair of doc martens I lust over and below is a dress & cropped jean jacket ensemble that I think would look ridiculously perfect with them ;)

Baby, there's a shark in the water.

I spent the week in Nova Scotia, spending my days at the beach, and getting a fill of my favorite place before I had to leave!

The Neon Trend; Love it, or Hate it?

One of last year's trends that has carried into this summer has been the neon trend. Whether it be neon nail polish, or the newest neon lacoste polo, I just plain HATE the neon trend.
Firstly,
I hate neon nail polish, ESPECIALLY if your nails are long! It reminds me of my childhood and the freaky colours we painted our nails on halloween. Personally, I refuse to believe that even the most stylish can pull off this look. I can however, tolerate it on a pedicure, maybe as a fun colour for the summer season. To each his own right? Still, I will never personally wear neon nail polish, especially on my hands!

My alternative nail trend this season that I am totally loving, is the taupe nail colour. Last fall when grey was in season I was SO into that trend. Sadly, I could never find a grey that didn't have shimmer or scary sparkles in them! Rest assured, I am still on the hunt for a great medium-grey colour. (I found a great light grey colour from OPI called Moonlight over Mumbai)

I find the taupe trend really chic and city sleekish, but more summery than the grey trend!

(These are two great colours that I totally love and intend on buying)
As for neon clothes, don't even get me started. Enough said, they're just horrible. I mean SOME shoes (skater ones mostly) with neon accents can be cool, but anything other just plain haunts me!
That's a big enough rant for one night! Good night y'all :)

Went up north last week-end ... there's nothing better than some fresh air. This spot made Sarah and I think of Forks, what do you think? :)
